Well, I guess since I started running again today it's time to start blogging. (That's when I do my best thinking)
Are you ever frustrated when you get really excited about something and not everyone around you that you share it with is as excited? I know you can relate.
One thing I've learn in my experience of working with people on a daily basis is it's natural for others to not be up on what you are so you have to decide How bad do you want it?????? How bad do you want the extra income your shooting for? How bad do you want your dreams to come true? How bad do you want time freedom? How bad do you want it??????? Do you want it bad enough to deal with the rejection by saying "shucks, maybe next time" (that's how my 4 year old deals with being told no) Are you really going to stop sharing the gift of time, freedom, and finance with others just because a handful of people tell you no?????? I certainly hope not because you are worth more than that!!! You deserve better than that!!!!!!!
Today was the first day that I've ran in awhile. I hurt my back in the fall and just never got back to the pavement. I got up this morning and believe me when I say, I was so tempted not to go. It was cold and dreary after raining all night, I kept waking up all night so I didn't sleep all that great and Jack had pre-school (2 hours and 20 minutes of alone time for me) so I was fighting with myself whether to go for that run or take a nap??????? hmmmmmm
Obviously, I took the run and I'm so glad I did. I decided to run 3 miles and of course I ended up walking a few blocks of that being in the out of shape that I am. What I did do though was every time my body wanted to stop from the fatigue and aches I told myself "just one more block", when I hit that goal I told myself "just another half a block". I kept pushing myself a little bit harder. Will I regret it in the morning? Yes, probably but was it worth it???? Absolutely!
I share this with you because I know that when we each want something bad enough we will find a way to make it happen regardless of how disappointing it can be at times or how hard it can be. I know that the reward is always worth the challenge. I also believe that anytime we're working to improve ourselves or our situation that the adversary is going to do everything he can to stop you from making it happen so I challenge you PUSH YOURSELF A LITTLE HARDER! Set your goals a little higher! You deserve the success and rewards that are just ahead of you!

Coach yourself!
How many times have you heard that it's important to plug yourself into self improvement? Do you think self-improvement is important??? Your answer should be ABSOLUTELY! Have you also heard that your subconscious is really making all of your decisions for you? Do you believe that? I do without a doubt.
I strongly believe (and keep in mind this is coming from the book of Kami ;) ) that in order to help others you have to help yourself first. We're programmed to believe whatever it is we currently believe from everything we've been exposed to in our lives. So, with that in mind I believe that what you think about and spend your time doing is what you get out of your life. What are you reading everyday? Who are you listening to everyday? Who do you hang out with on a consistent basis? Are the things you're doing each day building you, keeping you stagnant or breaking you down???? It's important that you recognize what's happening in your life.
If your intention is to be a leader and help others, you must first believe in yourself and in what you're trying to teach. If you try to coach others and you don't have those two elements, no one is going to follow you.
I encourage you to feed your mind. Read a good book everyday, and I don't mean a novel. I'm a sucker for a good novel but it certainly isn't helping me to improve myself. Read something positive, something that makes you think about improving yourself and the direction your going in life. Read something that empowers you. If you aren't a reader I highly encourage you to become one. Read a chapter a day if that's what it takes to get started. Listen to and surround yourself by successful people that encourage you to be better. Surround yourself around positive people that believe in themselves and in you.
If you do these things I have no doubt that your life will improve in every area of your life and it'll help you to move forward in a positive direction and to become the leader and example that you want to be.

Is someone throwing darts at you????
Do you ever feel like someone is following you around and throwing darts at you? LOL That's how I've felt the last few days. What's interesting is that it all started happening after I read the book "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield. It's soooooo good and everyone needs to read it. It basically talks about Resistance in our lives. It explains what resistance is and how to overcome it and that if we don't it'll prevent us from moving towards greatness. WOW!
So anyway, I read the book and loved the concepts taught and decided to implement those concepts into my behavior on a daily basis. I decided if I was going to do this it would be done in all aspects of my life, my spiritual side, my relationships, our business, my emotional & physical life. The whole cabootle. After making this decision it was as if the world caved in on me all at once, like someone was following me around throwing darts at me. ARGH! I can laugh about it now but not until I recognized those darts as resistance did it end and man I'm glad it's over.
Why am I sharing this with you? Well, because I know I'm not the only one that has had days that all the darts hit you at once and you just want to dig a whole and put yourself in it for awhile. ;) I'm sharing this with you because if this is you right now in any aspect of your life you need to get the book and read it to understand what is happening. Resistance (which I define as Satan) is determined each day to discourage you and put up blocks that get you to fail. If you are falling in your world of despair right now and accomplishing nothing except surviving each day you need to recognize the resistance and make changes.
If you find yourself blaming others for your frustrations or downfalls, that's resistance.
If you just want to sleep all day rather than face your circumstances, that's resistance.
If you are mad about the economy and use that excuse for your financial situation, that's resistance.
If you believe that no one wants to be a part of your business opportunity, that's resistance.
If you are too busy to do things that really matter to move you forward, that's resistance.
I think you get the drift. Seriously, go to Amazon and order the book. I think I paid like $9.00 and that included shipping and handling. The message is priceless.
I went into our 15 year olds room the other day and on his wall right next to his bed so he can see it everyday was "Do Something Successful EVERYDAY!" How cool is that???? :)
John and I wish only GREAT things for each of you. It's time to put your chin up, decide what it is you REALLY want in life, make a plan and then put the plan into action everyday until it happens!
My new favorite quote is.
"Create Your Day! Either you do something to create your day, or you react to your day and let it create you."

My Tribute to Linda McCarthy
I've been avoiding doing this because words cannot describe how I'm feeling or how I feel about Linda. I know that many of you have either met Linda, spoken to her on the phone or perhaps heard her speak at an event or on a video. I have had the awesome privilege of knowing Linda for the past 12 years and I want to share with you what Linda met to me.
When I first met Linda I was about 26 years old. I was young and I know at that time I had no idea how she would affect my life. I had no idea that she would not only be my mentor, my guidance, my best friend but mostly a mother figure for me. I've been so blessed to have had her in my life.
I think the things I loved about Linda the most was that she truly cared for people, she truly believed that anyone could succeed in life and wanted to be a part of that. She had great wisdom and understanding of not only the industry but of people. She believed that relationships were all that matter in order to be successful in life and she lived that. She was the same person all the time in every situation.
I loved how we would call and talk to each other about any business or life situation and she had the answers or we would laugh together if she didn't and make something up. ;) My favorite and mostly missed phone calls will be the ones about nothing. Not about her illness, not about business, just about life. The joys and tears of life. What an amazing example of life she was. I know she's looking down and telling me to move on and move forward and I will but she will truly be missed, not today and not tomorrow but forever.
I love you Linda and thank you for the example and legacy you have left behind for me and thousands of people but mostly thank you for being my mentor, my friend, for being my mom. ;)

The Obstacles in our Life
Are the obstacles you have in your life preventing you from choosing to move forward in life mentally, spiritually, or in your relationships and business? If so WHY?
Wow! It has been forever since I've blogged. As you know I get a lot of thinking done when I run so obviously I've started running again and wanted to share my experience with you. My analogy as usual is long but I do get to the point. ;)
It's March 3, 2010. I woke up at 6:30 a.m. (which is unheard of for me) with a throbbing headache, not the way I wanted to start my day. I got the 3 oldest off to school, made several business calls, and called John on the East coast to update him about our incredible meeting last night with 200K James Sanford. Feeling a bit better I decided today was the day to start running again.
It was sunny out, the temperature read about 49 degrees, I convinced the 3 year old that a run was a good idea for both of us and off we went. Although small my obstacles were this morning this is what I experienced.
First, my Ipod was almost dead ARGH, I couldn't blame anyone but myself for that. I willed it to work for my goal was a 3 1/2 mile run. As I got further from home I found myself running into a heavy head wind. Keep in mind I was pushing my 3 yr. old in the jogger as well. For some reason he keeps growing and getting heavier. (note to self: quit feeding the 3 yr. old)
I started thinking that maybe this run wasn't such a good idea. I then said to myself "Why not, you big woosy" :) I continued on my run and it seemed like every other car that passed me was a smoker, (ARGH I chose to let that irritate me) you see, I was out to enjoy clean fresh air on my run and that wasn't even happening. THEN Jack decided that this run wasn't such a great idea either, the sun was in his eyes one minute, the next minute the wind was too cold or........ you get the point.
Could I have turned around? Not really, at that point I was too far away. LOL I had a bit of self talk reminding myself why I chose to run in the first place. I want to get in better shape, I want to feel better, I want to be able to run in the 5K in Vegas, and I find my mini headaches are greatly reduced when I run. I then decided to stay focused on those 4 things.
Needless to say that once I changed my focus by not placing it on my insignificant but obnoxious obstacles my outlook changed. The sun came out, my Ipod stayed charged, the wind died down and Jack fell asleep so I ran even further than I planned. IT FELT GREAT!
This experience made me analyze life in general. What are our obstacles? Are we creating obstacles in our life on a daily basis? What are we filling our lives with that make us lose focus on what we REALLY want in life?
I believe that some obstacles in our lives we can't control like death and sickness BUT most obstacles in our life we create. I believe that whenever we are trying to improve anything in our lives the adversary wants us to fail. He wants us to find obstacles, he wants us stressed, depressed, tired, frustrated and he wants us to quit. I have no doubt that he celebrates when we do quit. He wants us to fill our lives with so much STUFF that we are too busy to improve, too busy to be successful, too busy to create the life that we really want. Perhaps, we aren't even busy but we're in such a slump that we aren't creating anything in our lives.
I challenge you to re-evaluate your life, to identify what you can take out of your life to make time for your future. I encourage you that if your struggling with obstacles to identify honestly with yourself if they are legitimate or if you are creating them. Then choose to create a different life for yourself, your future and your loved ones. Yes, there will be sacrifices but aren't you, your loved ones and your future worth it? The answer is YES! Now it's up to you to choose.
We're always here to help, support, and coach you so don't be afraid to reach out to us for guidance.
Make it a GREAT day! Choose to be Happy and Successful in Life!

XGO PRO
Hello Freedom Seekers,
We've recently returned from the Regional Convention in Vegas and boy was it exactly what I needed. It's always great seeing distributors from all over the country and getting to know you just a little more than we did before.
As with every convention, be it big or small, I find that I return home with everyone asking me "How was it?" and I respond the same, "I can't describe it, you needed to have been there." Sure I can share with you the announcements that were released (which everyone has already emailed out) but the nuts and bolts of what I felt and heard I couldn't possibly explain the impact it had on me. So you know what's coming next right? Get yourselves signed up and committed to attending the National Conventional in S.L.C. It will truly effect the future of your business.
I can tell you that I left Vegas even more convinced than ever that we're with the best company, the best products, the best corporate team and unmatchable founders. I also left there knowing that no matter how great all that is, it doesn't matter UNLESS I put what I saw, learned, and heard into action. It all comes down to US! How cool is that? One thing I know for sure is that we have control over US, so we have control over our own economy, our own future. That's empowering to me.
One of the biggest announcements that got me really really excited was from the XGo Pro system. Not only have they lowered the price but you also have the MyMangosteen website included with your membership. Sweeet!!! I promise you IF you utilize the system by committing to listening to the weekly CD's, you read the booklet that comes with the Welcome letter and take the steps for positive change in yourself and your business YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE!!!!!
It's funny how the best things in our life really are the easiest things to do but they are also the easiest not to do. I challenge you to make sure EVERYDAY you listen, watch or read something positive and uplifting. That alone will change your life, your business, you're relationships. Sounds to easy?????? It is easy so "DO IT"! The CD's that come each week from the XGoPro System will make it easy for you to implement this change in your life if you're not already doing it.
Go to www.xgopro.com to sign up for you're new life changing system. Tell you're whole organization to do this as well and watch the changes in their life and business as well. Commit and change will come!

How many presentations did you do this week?
Hello Freedomseekers,
I'm sitting here in my car while Joshua is having baseball practice. It's cold and damp outside so what's more fun than being warm and blogging? hmmmmm
I can't wait to see many of you in Vegas next weekend. I'm looking forward to warmer temperatures and I don't know about you, but I personally need a shot in the arm. It's funny how life throws curves at you and even though I believe that everything happens for a reason I still find it at times difficult to stay focused and forge forward. Vegas will be awesome and is definitely just what I need, I have no doubt you need it to.
I was thinking the other night at about 1am (isn't that when we think best, the house is quiet, no one is screaming, the phone isn't ringing.......LOL you get the point) why is it that we as humans want everything yesterday (I hope you are all like that and I just didn't make a major confession) I admit that I have the personality of wanting everything yesterday. Most things come easy for me so I expect everything to come easy. REALITY CHECK!!!!!!!
I was contemplating why this business doesn't come easy. (This business is simple but it's certainly not easy). Yet don't we tend to make it the hardest thing in our life? hmmm I hope you realize how incredible of an opportunity this is, but also realize it's not just an opportunity, it's a life changing journey. It's an experience where you get to really see who you are. You get to change things in your life that you've struggled with for so long. You learn what's really important in your life and how bad you want it. You get to build relationships that never would have existed without this opportunity. You get to offer people solutions, happiness, hope! It can't get better than that. Yet, if we get all these perks why do we expect everything to happen NOW??????? All of these things are a process and take time so it's our job to get the most out of our experiences.
Just so you don't have any false expectations, let me make it clear that everything doesn't come NOW. (bummer) I've learned that when I'm frustrated all I usually have to do is look in the mirror. That's the person that needs to change. I find that when you're focused on your paycheck that it shows in your paycheck, it's not so good. When you focus on helping others you're paycheck shows it, it's big. Activity is the key, how many people can we go out and help??? I share this with you because I'm really excited about the 100 Presentations to Premier that's being heavily promoted by our awesome sponsors 500K Mike and Linda McCarthy.
If you aren't in the loop go to www.mccarthycentral.com and get on the broadcast email list and in the process watch the 100 Presentations to Premier webinar and get on the email list for it as well. It's sooooo simple that we all should be slapped for not implementing it sooner in our daily activities. There's no magic, the magic is simply actively doing presentations on a consistent basis. I see people that complain about their organization but if they simply looked at their own activity they would see the reality of it. If they haven't signed anyone up in months why do they think anyone in their downline will? Unfortunately, duplication works both ways, your organization does what you do and they do what you don't do. OUCH!!!!
So, why am I excited about the 100 Presentations to Premier? Because it's the answer for all of us. For those that are already marking down each presentation you're doing, GREAT JOB!!! The chart enables you to keep track of your activity. You can mark down when you presented, to whom and the outcome. It helps you stay focused and accountable. If you're sheet is empty hmmmmmmm that would explain why your business isn't moving forward. If you're sheet is full you have more activity going on then you know what to do with. SWeeeeeT!!!! Can it get more simple than that????
I encourage you to participate in the 100 Presentations to Premier. If it takes you 2 years or 3 months to do the 100 presentations who cares, just get started! Don't just try it, do it! You start with 1 presentation at a time, take baby steps but get started today. If you want to know what is considered a presentation get to wwww.mccarthycentral.com and watch the webinar.
It's time to take the challenge! Get lost in helping others! Watch the magic happen, and of course enjoy the journey! See you in Vegas Baby!!!!!!

Ireland Rocks!
As many of you know I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Ireland for 10 days. I have to say that it was unbelievably phenomenal to be there. Not only is it a beautiful country but I didn't meet one unfriendly person while I was there. That was amazing in itself.
I did plenty of site seeing since all the people that we met with lived all over Ireland. 5K Colette Murney and myself were so excited for our venture that we drove around with the top off of her car. We had to wear our winter coats but we had soooooo much fun. Talk about making a statement in Ireland.
Our Ireland group was also able to meet Joe Morton at the hotel meeting. Brian Gallacher and Joe Morton were in the house. What a pleasure it was sharing that opportunity with them. It amazes me the corporate support that we have with the founders.
I want to send out a big thanks to 5K Colette Murney for putting me up in her home, for sharing the history of Ireland with me on our travels and for her incredible friendship. A big thanks out to 5K Mary Gray for also putting me up in her beautiful home and to the first and only 20K in Ireland, Leo Conlon and his sweet wife Josephine for also allowing me into their home. To Eamon Vise for making sure that everything was perfect in my presence,
It was so nice being with our incredible Xango group in Ireland. I was able to meet so many already distributors and so many new distributors. I can't wait for my next trip. Remember our deal everyone "Be sure to tell John that my trip was more productive than his. ;)" I think the thing I love the most about this business is the new friends you make along the way. That in my opinion is priceless.
I didn't get a picture of everyone but enjoy what I did get!

How important is the 3-way call to your business?
The other day at practice I was teaching a new offense. The boys were catching on quickly so we moved on to scrimmage in order to implement the new offense. We run about 10 different offensive plays so I encourage them to mix it up rather than doing the same thing over and over and over. There's nothing more exciting for a coach than to watch what you just taught being executed and work. There's also nothing more frustrating than watching it not being executed and seeing the points missed because of that. Yes, I'm getting to my point.
I was thinking how this applies to using the 3-way call in our business. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not 100% consistent in using the 3-way call. It's just easier not to do right? (Way bad excuse, don't ever say that out loud) Anyway, when my team actually run's the offense they score I'm guessing 90% of the time. When they don't run the offense they end up playing street ball and they maybe score 5% of the time. So I ask you, WHY DON'T THEY RUN THE OFFENSE EVERYTIME????? argh!
I figure that maybe they don't run it consistently because they haven't made it a habit. hmmmm (I know I haven't made 3-way calling a habit). Maybe it's because it takes more work to run the offense because you have to have all 5 players participating in order to accomplish it? hmmmm Have you ever heard someone tell you they don't like 3-way calls because it's a pain to get upline on the phone? Well, it is a pain, but is that a good enough of a reason not to do it? I would say NOT! John sat down with someone the other day and tried 3-waying them to upline, he had to call 3 different people in the upline before getting someone on the phone. SO WHAT, it took a little extra effort but it was worth it. The call was awesome.
Have you ever heard someone say that they feel like they are wasting uplines time when they can't get ahold of anyone? I can guarantee you that as your upline you haven't ruined my day by calling me and we haven't been able to reach someone. I'm just thrilled that you called to do a 3-way.
I'm here to tell you just like I drill in my team's head that networking is a team sport. We have to work together and run the offense if we want to score. You can't make all the points by yourself. I hope you get my point. (no pun intended LOL)

Are you working as a Team?!!!
Happy New Year to each and everyone of you. I hope that you had a great time enjoying the holidays with family and friends. I don't know about you but I'm always excited about getting back to work yet have a bit of a hard time getting a jump on it. So, here it is January 14th and I'm way over due to get rolling, so I figured I would start off with updating my blog.
I'm in the middle of coaching my son, (Logan's competition basketball team) #25 (how funny is this picture, Logan is around 5'6" and he looks like a giant compared to this kid). Anyway, my analogy is coming from my coaching experience this year and you know how I love analogies (yeeha) so I thought I would share a few things that I've learned recently.
At the beginning of the season I was able to protect 6 boys that I wanted on my team. Protecting them guaranteed they were on my team without drafting them. Anyway, I snatched the 6 up that I wanted pretty quick, 4 of them came from my team the previous season. I knew the skills that I wanted in a player and most importantly if they were teachable and had a good attitude. I didn't call every Tom, Dick and Harry to see if they wanted to play. I was very specific in the qualities I required in a player to work with. Then, I went to drafts to pick up 4 more players. I watched for the qualities in those players that came to try out and obviously chose the boys that I felt had those qualities or abilities needed to learn.
I was thinking the other day how the process I use in drafting my team really isn't any different than looking for people to join your business. You already know what qualities you're looking for so you actually spend your time looking for people with those qualities. If someone you come across doesn't have those qualities you simply ask them to "love their neighbor" and you don't draft them (move on). How nice is it to have the choice of who you want to work with? hmmm
So we started practicing and I quickly learned what I had to work with. I already knew the skills of the 4 from my team last year so that was no surprise except they had grown, matured and improved drastically (amazing what a year can do). I learned that each player had individual things they needed to do in order to improve on their strengths and their weaknesses.
It's interesting that some players naturally play better, they have the abilities and probably more experience than others and its obvious. I can show a play to my first string and they can implement it right away. My second string on the other hand, it takes many times to go over the plays and they still struggle with executing it. It isn't any different than networking. Some people are natural or have a belief in themselves that allows them to get through the obstacles faster. It's ok and actually it's rare to have people in your business like that. Most people are like my second string in that they need continual guidance, practice and training until they are ready to apply things without your coaching.
Let me also point out that I have an awesome assistant coach and he's so good at picking out things that I miss. He also has a different approach in coaching than I do and it's refreshing to see a player be more receptive to the different tactics we each have. I'm so grateful that I don't have to coach my team alone. In my opinion, I would be doing the players a disservice by even trying. There's nothing worse than thinking you know it all and try to do everything alone, it helps no one. Even as a coach it can't be done. You can't see everything you need to see.
I love the dynamics of people, we're all so different which can be good and bad. It's good if you are patient with those differences and bad if you aren't. I find that as I work with each player individually where they need work and point out their strengths they have a new sense of excitement about playing, not only that they try harder to do better. I found that I could work on some things as a group but it was more important to help individuals where they needed it so that the team could move forward as a whole.
So far we're having an awesome season. Word on the street is "we're the team to beat" I'm ok with that hanging over our heads. It makes us step up, be sharp, and play hard.
I hope you understand the power of working with your team and the power of not doing this business alone. Always remember that everyone has unique differences, strengths and weaknesses and with team effort they can be overcome and benefit everyone involved in the process. If you don't have a coach helping you with your business, find one!
Make it a Great day!

Glimpse to the Future!
Hello Team Freedom Seekers,
Is everyone as crazy busy as I am right now with this Glimpse launch? I've been meaning to update my blog for awhile now but since the announcement of Glimpse I've been swamped and obviously haven't been able to get to it. Being Glimpse busy is a good thing!
I had the awesome opportunity of being in Buffalo, NY for Priscilla Harrison's 7 steps to 7 figures training as well as the Women's conference. What an awesome event put on by Theresa Horab and Donna Andrews. What a treat that was for me and all that attended. It wa
s also incredible to see 2 cars full of people in our organization drive 8 hours one way to attend this event. Talk about dedication and commitment to their business. I love attending events because you always come away with something to learn and grow from not to mention the friendships you build. Events are priceless.
With that in mind, we're only a few weeks from our National Convention in Salt Lake City and if you don't have your tickets please believe me when I say YOU NEED TO BE THERE. I see people make things happen in their life everyday. If there was a crisis and you needed to come up with the money YOU WOULD. I'm asking you to make this convention your crisis and get to this convention. It will change you, your business, and your future.
If you know me very well you know that I believe that everything happens in our life for a reason. Whether it's a good thing or a challenge there's a purpose behind it that we're suppose to grow and learn from if we're willing to be open to it. I truly believe that we are strengthened by our challenges and our character is built, we get to discover who we truly are. You're thinking "where in the heck is she going with this?" I'm getting there. ;) I've been receiving a handful of phone calls from great people that are frustrated with their business and struggling. I'm here to tell you like I have each of these people that I've had a heart to heart with that YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
Yes, the economy is a scary thing right now but isn't there always a shining star somewhere amongst the fear? You couldn't be in a better business than network marketing right now when the economy is in the dumps. This is our chance to share with people this great industry. This is our chance to give people hope that they can be proactive and do something for their future. This is our chance to pull up our sleeves and go to work harder than we ever have before to change the outcome of our lives over the next 18 months. I also believe that TIMING is everything in this business and I look at what Xango is getting ready to unleash at just the time we all need it for our business. How cool is that?
I'm so excited to be a part of a movement that's getting ready to take place. If you haven't read "Not Just a Pretty Face" read it. I learned so much and am now able to be more proactive with my own family in what is safe. This also gives me the opportunity to tell others that I care about that they need to pay attention to what's going on to keep their families safe. This business just gets better and better.
This is our opportunity to contact everyone that we've ever shared Xango with to share Glimpse with them. I'm here to tell you that we've been doing this and people are getting involved now that told us no years ago. Sweeeeet! Don't leave anyone out!
I can't wait to see you all at convention. What a ride it will be that weekend. Don't plan on sleeping, I'm sure you're mind won't allow it! Let us know how we can help you. Who can we talk to with you?
Keep up the great work, enjoy the journey and know that your efforts will pay off for years to come!

Is Summer Really Over?
Wow! What an awesome summer it's been. We've done so many fun things with our family (www.johnherringfamily.blogspot.com) that I hate to see it end. On the other hand, I haven't gotten crap done all summer so I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine again and getting re-focused on Xango. I know that many of you can relate because we've talked about it so let's get a movin' and a shakin'.
How cool is it to be cheering for someone half way around the world that you don't even know. I was thinking about that today wondering why is it so inspiring to watch someone like Michael Phelps? I believe (Kami's opinion only) that it's because we all have an inner desire to make our dreams come true. As we hear the commentators tell us about the struggles of the athletes and what they did to be at the Olympics you see why ANYTHING that you want bad enough is worth putting the time, sweat, energy, and work into. There's nothing more that I enjoy about the Olympics than the reaction and expression of the winner of the GOLD. Don't you just want to have that feeling after working really hard and accomplishing something great?
I know that the Olympics has helped me to reflect on where I was a year ago, where I am today and where I want to be a year from now. I know that the goals I have for myself, our family, and our business are only going to happen if I put in the time, sweat, energy, and work. I also know that you can't do anything by yourself. My favorite moment was when the USA men's swim team beat France. Jason Lezak was coming up from behind and gave it everything he had to win. (it was even sweeter since the French were trash talking) I loved how Michael after getting his 8 gold medals commented that he couldn't have gotten them all without his teammates.
We're so fortunate in our business to have people that care and really want us to succeed. Our only challenge I believe is accepting that help and allowing that team work to make things happen. I've been in networking for 11 1/2 years now and I know without a shadow of a doubt that if you try to do this business by yourself YOU WILL FAIL!
I encourage you to stop and reflect on where you were a year ago, where you are today, and where you want to be and then set goals and make a plan to make it happen. Michael Phelps is a true example of having a dream, setting goals and doing everything it takes everyday to make it happen. We can do that to!
If you haven't been keeping up with the Olympics you better start now because you've missed out on the most unbelievable events occurring EVER! I've decided that if you put me
in front of a sporting event I just can't seem to turn it off. Since the Olympics haven't been getting over until we hours of the morning sleep really hasn't been an option. I want to use Michael Phelps as my analogy for this blog. (If you don't know who he is bang your head against a wall and then go Google him). We were lucky enough to watch each one of his events sitting on the end of our couch cheering him on and high fiveing each other after each win. UNBELIEVABLE!

Xango REAL Game against Houston
July 3rd we were able to attend the REAL game in Salt Lake City. There were around 800 Xango supporters at the game against the Houston Dynamo's. WOW!!!! Thanks to everyone that came and supported this event.
It was the funnest game EVER, in my opinion of course. Yellow cards were being handed out left and right. A red card was given out to a REAL player. Fans were throwing things on the field. That was a first for me. (no I didn't throw anything, I don't believe in that). I've never been to a game that people actually do that. The game ended 0 to 0, it was exciting and intense. It was great seeing so many friends and associates there.
What a great night and thanks again for everyone's support.
We'll do it again next year!
Enjoy the pictures below.

Get Plugged In!
Hello Freedomseekers,
John and I had the awesome pleasure of hanging out in Orlando over the weekend at the Xango regional convention. We left the day after school was out, hope our kids didn't get the wrong impression. :) We had sooooo much fun. It was nice to finally spend time away together first of all and it was great seeing so many of you that we
only get to see at these events. It was incredible meeting many of you in person for the first time, that's always a treat.
In my 11 years of networking I've learned that relationships are the blood of this business. Without relationships I believe (kami's opinion only) that you can't have a stable business. We have so many incredible friends across the states and over seas. We had 3 incredible people travel all the way from Ireland to be there (at a regional even) and without a doubt they all agree it was worth the long journey. We had a couple come clear from Portugal, WOW! That takes a lot of the excuses away for the rest of us doesn't it? The first thing out of dear Colette Murney's mouth from Ireland was "I'll be back in November." AWESOME! (you rock Colette) Thanks to them for their time, dedication and example that they set.
Again, trying to explain to you what we experienced is like trying to explain the Grand Canyon, it can't be done. What I can share with you is the importance of getting connected, plugging yourself into your team, upline and downline and making it a habit to get your prospects and new distributors on the phone with someone. I believe strongly that whether you do this or not do this will determine the outcome of you having or not having success. Yes, it's that important! I can't tell you how many phone calls we get with the person on the ot
her end basically asking what the "MAGIC" is in building this business. I wish there was a magic pill but what I do know is a big part of the "MAGIC" is getting everyone connected.
Times are rough right now and everyone around you is looking for stability, they are looking for something positive, they are looking for solutions for their families. It couldn't be a more perfect time to introduce them to Xango. Xango gives people a reason to get excited about the future, it gives people hope in their life that they aren't getting from anywhere else. People are scared of where the economy is headed and they need Xango now. As I watch the price of gas sore (makes me want to
pull my hair out) I was thinking how blessed many of us are to be able to work from home full-time so that we don't have to fill our tanks up everyday at almost $4.00/gallon. (UGH, that makes me shiver). We have answers for people, solutions for people, for ourselves and we need to get fired up about that and share it with everyone.
I hope your excited about 3Sixty5. It's awesome. If you're already supplementing its an easy switch. John and I have supplemented for years and we were using a great product. It was available about 14 years ago and I think how much technology has changed since then and am really excited to be using 3Sixty5 with its new technology. If you have never supplemented before get started because believe me you are not getting the nutrition you need from your kitchen table. 3Sixty5 is an incredible way to get everything you need. Even Dr. Templeman said from stage that you get everything you need from 3Sixty5. WoooHoooo!!!!

What are you focused on???
Hello Freedom Seekers,
Today's topic is WHAT ARE YOU FOCUSED ON? Of course I got my analogy from running. Go figure!
About a week ago I challenged myself to run further than I had been. I clocked what I was running and it was only 2 1/2 miles, (are you kidding me???) so I decided that I needed to kick it into high gear. I found a new block to ad to my jaunt and the total is now 4 1/2 miles (something I can live with). The first day, things were going awesome, I was so pumped. I had the ipod headed for my new destination. Once I hit the farms and fields, MMMmm... the sweet smell of horses, cow manure and skunk (reminds me of home) I was feeling peachy until I looked down the road at the first stretch of my block. It was a torturous view. Keep in mind my block is huge and the long legs of it are about 1 3/4 mile long and the road is straight and you can see all the way to the end. UGH! (it's much easier when you can't see the end) It was so hard looking at the end and feeling like it was taking forever to get there. BUT I was determined and focused.
As I ran I found myself looking down a lot, it was easier to look down and not at my destination (and if you know me it's best I watch my feet so I don't crash and fall ha :) ). I thought that by looking down and then looking up the end would be closer. It didn't really help. Well, today I decided that I needed a different mind set if I was indeed going to make this a ritual. I again started out with my ipod headed for the "country" and there the 1st stretch was, still a long long long ways away. I got to thinking that I knew where I was going and the destination wasn't going to change sooooo I just as well enjoy the journey. Rather than looking down I looked up, I looked around. It was a gorgeous day, over cast and it had rained the night before so everything smelled soooooo good, everything was blossoming, the hay fields were a vibrant green color, the mountains had snow on the peaks and the green grass was showing half way down, it was incredibly beautiful. WOW! I thought, "I've been missing out by dreading the journey and looking down". That will NEVER happen again.
The lesson to be learned is WHAT you might ask??? I'm getting there. This last weekend we had an awesome corporate city meeting and distributor training in S.L.C. We had phenomenal afternoon speakers like Kina'u Tollefsen, Jenny Thompson, John Herring, Gordon Morton Sr. and David Butler. (Talk about a knock out of the park cast). Many incredible things were said but one stuck out and that was David Butler talking about the importance of FOCUS! Well, as I was having my ah-ha moment running it made me think that our business's are similar to my run. We all know what we want from it but the end goal seems so far away because there are always obstacles. I believe that God gives us obstacles to teach us lessons, to help us become better and to develop our character. I used to pray for things to go away and learned THAT was never going to happen. How was I possibly going to learn and grow if challenges didn't exsist? Now I pray that I can be better in order to overcome obstacles. (It's a hard mindset to adjust to). Being focused on what we want is sooooo important and I also believe that we HAVE to enjoy the journey as well. What good is the end if we are miserable the whole way?
You've all heard that what you focus on in your life expands and I'm 100% a believer in that concept. If you know why your in Xango and what you want out of it then it's simple right? You just need to focus on it everyday right? That's part of it. The focus has to be there but you also need to make sure that you don't get like I did in seeing the end soooooo far away that I lost my focus by looking down. You have to set goals and know what you want in the end but you also need to look around you, learn from your experiences, learn from others, attend events, and hang out with successful people. Get focused in your business. If you haven't noticed not much changes in your life unless you change what you are doing and focusing on. Think about it, what is different in your life now than it was a year ago???? I hope a lot for the better but you will find that if you ask the majority they will say nothing has changed. How sad, especially when we have the ability to change everything if we get focused and just do it. Get focused people and lets enjoy the journey!

Events vs. Spiritual Experiences
Hello Team Freedom Seekers,
You do realize that I'm going to promote events until the day I die right? I hope none of you are freaking out about my topic today. I'm going to tread lightly and hope that I get my point across without offending anyone. Regardless of what you believe in spiritually you should be able to understand where I'm going with this.
Let me start by telling you where the inspiration for this blog came from. My oldest child Logan is 13. He's an incredible kid that probably keeps me more on track than I keep him. Sunday night he had a church meeting to attend that was specifically for the youth in our area. The subject for the night was how to grow personally in your life, how to find balance in your life and how to make the best of life each day. One of the keys to accomplishing these things is to have good friends, to surround yourself by others that have the same values as you. It was awesome! Every parent that was there was soooooo glad their child was sitting next to them. It's not like we don't already teach our children these lessons but they got to hear it from someone else. The speaker was incredible, n
ot only did he have us all laughing one minute but he had you crying the next. It was truly a spiritual experience for everyone that attended. You couldn't help knowing that what you were hearing was true and that you needed to apply it in your life and that you were at the right place at the right time. Lot's of Logan's friends didn't attend and on the way home we talked about how good it would have been if everyone of them could have experienced what we did.
How am I going to segue into Xango your asking? Well, if you haven't already figured it out then you obviously have never been to a Xango event. Friends, you need to get yourselves to the events. Why do you think people that are trying to lose weight or to quit drinking, smoking ect.......join groups? Why do you think wealthy people join country clubs and live in gated communities? They all have the same goal in mind and that's to surround themselves with people that want and believe in what they are trying to accomplish. So I ask you, why aren't you attending every event that comes your way. As a coach, a busy mom of 4 kids...........I can't make it to every event either BUT I get to as many as I can. I sit there listening to the presenter so grateful that I took the time out to be there. I'm so grateful that what I'm hearing I know is true and that I'm at the right place at the right time and that I'm surrounded by like minded people. When I leave I think of everyone that should of been there with me.
I need the events. I need to be reminded after a bummer day what I'm striving for. I need to be around positive people because there aren't very many of us out there. I need fresh new ideas that get me excited. You need all of these things to.
The balls now in your court. You have two choices to make, and yes it's that simple. You can either get your fanny out of your world of doom and get to the next event or you can do the same things you do every day. Only one of the choices will change the outcome of your future. I love the simplicity of this.
Have I been bold enough here? I'm bold because I care. I want you to have success. I want you to know what I know about Xango and you only get that knowledge and belief from attending events, so let's team up and make this happen. We all have great things inside us waiting to leap out to make incredible things happen in our lives and in everyone we come across. Let's do it together!

Leaders are made at events
Hello Freedom Seekers,
My mind has not stopped since Long Beach. I can't sleep, my house is a mess because I'm what I'm calling "in the zone". (good excuse ey? Have you gathered I prefer doing anything else except laundry and cleaning?) "Note to self: Hire a maid!" ; )
I've always been told that the greatest network marketers are the best event promoters. I was also told that leader's evolve at events. I know you've also heard this advise if you have great leaders you learn from. You've probably heard that you should never miss an event because the next event "might be your event". I have to be perfectly honest that I would respond to this great wisdom with "yadeeyadeeya" (Did you just hear what a Premier said? Blasphemy! LOL Just being real here) Well, now I have to take back all my yadeeya's because I now understand (it takes me a little longer than other's to catch on). I'm so excited, Long Beach was my event!!! I have to tell you that I didn't even decide to go until 2 weeks before the event and then I booked it begrudingly. I had lots of reasons why I "shouldn't, can't, won't" go. The final decision was really made because I needed a break from everything, it wasn't even Xango related. I wish that I could tell you what magically happened for me there but I can't pinpoint just one thing. All I can say is it was my event. woohoo!
You obviously know where this is going. I hear those of you already "yadeeyadeeing" me. :( Whatever your excuses are for not being at the next event, they aren't good enough. If you truly want life changing experiences to take place in your life you have to leave the familiarity of where you are. (If you haven't read the "Dream Giver" order it today). You have to leave your comfort zone and you have to take risks. Orlando is coming up in May and the National in S.L.C. is in November. I wasn't planning on going to Long Beach let alone Orlando but one of the first things I did when I got home was booked everything for Orlando. We all need to be surrounded by great things, great people, great feelings, great ideas. Events have all of these components. How will you know which event is "your event" if you don't invest in yourself and go to any of them?
I'm not going to ramble on, I think you get my point. I just want you to take a serious look at where you are and honestly ask yourself if that's where you like being and if it isn't the great saying applies "if you want change in your life, you have to change" Let's ride this wave together, GET YOURSELF TO THE NEXT EVENT!!!

The Xango Wave in Long Beach
Hello Team Freedom Seekers,

I've returned safely from Long Beach, (what do you mean you didn't know I was gone :) ) I was unable to go to sleep last night and then I hit the floor running this morning. I've been trying to figure out what to tell you about the regional convention. It's probably like trying to describe Mount Rushmore or the Grand Canyon after you've been there. It just can't be done. You have to see it to believe it.
First let me start by pointing out that as a mediocre travel agent I booked us into the most extravagant, most lush, most elegant, two blocks from the beach hotel available in Long Beach (it truly was a dump and we laughed about it all weekend). Note to self...always book your hotel at the venue of the event. I do have to admit that you just can't beat the memories of staying at a place like we did. WooHoo!
After Kellie Thompson 20K and I went to the beach, ate on the boardwalk, toured the cinem
ark, went to Cold Stone Creamery, checked in at registration and made sure to give all of the Xango employees a hard time we went to the 20K and above event. It was awesome. We had Jaime Topham and Kilee Butterfield join us for the dinner on the Queen Mary and that venue in itself is undescribable. What an incredible ship. We heard phenomenal speakers, had a delicious meal, visited with old and new friends and Xango gave us our very own mangosteen wave board as we left the ship. "Cool"
The next morning bright and early we headed to the Regional Event. We heard great wisdom from Gary Hollister, heard Joe Morton talk about not letting the spaces between reality and your dreams stop you from making your dreams your reality. Talk about inspiring. Talk about a kick in the head for me personally. It was excellant.
Throughout the day we heard heart felt stories from successful leaders and left feeling fulfilled and wishing that everyone of you were there sitting with us. Did I mention that they talked about Glimpse and that it will be launched at the Orlando Regional and that it will be available at the National Convention in Salt Lake in November???? WOW!!!! It can't get here fast enough. Ssssweeeet!!!!!
With that in mind get yourselves and your teams to these events. Start saving your money now. Events are where things happen, events are a reminder of why we are in this business, events are where you learn, where you unde
rstand just a little bit of the magnitude this company has and the wave that is headed our way. 500K Linda McCarthy says it best, "You can either watch the wave come in or you can get on your wave board and swim out and ride it".
Events are where you get rejuvinated by what brought you in at the beginning. The best advice that I can give you is if you want the fire re-lit in your business get to the events and take everyone with you.
I heard a lot and felt a lot over the weekend but what I came away with the most is that your downline is going to do what you DO not what you SAY!!!!!!! WOW! I needed to be reminded of that. It's so easy to tell everyone what to do and then sit back hoping they'll do it and that you will get paid for it but I'm here to tell you that IT DOESN'T WORK that way. I'm here to tell you that if you want your business to grow you need to share Xango with someone, anyone EVERYDAY!!! Commitment and consistency are the key elements behind building a strong stable business and anyone can do it.

Spring is in the air!
Hello Team Freedom Seekers,
First I want to say THANK YOU for all your prayers and all the emails for my beautiful niece. I'm excited to announce that they've sent her home sooner than anyone expected. She's weak but on the road to recovery and we're so happy, it truly has been a miracle.
Spring is in the air here in Utah, most days. The weather keeps teasing us. My kids are confused that one week they need a jacket and the next week they need their winter coat and gloves. I sat at Logan's first baseball scrimmage last Saturday and froze my.......off. It was soooooo cold. What in the heck are we doing starting baseball so soon anyway????
Jack just turned 1, it's amazing how time flies. It's so fun to watch this little boy in action. Sitting still is not something Jack understands. He always has to be doing something and going somewhere. He isn't a cuddler and the occasional hug and kiss you get from him are to be savored since you don't know when the next one will come. As I sit and watch him I'm amazed at his ability to never give up on something. Let me explain.
I find that when Jack wants something his little mind starts working hard on "what do I have to do to get that (reach my goal)?" As I watch the obstacles in his way whether it be he can't reach something, he can't crawl over something, he can't get under there......he figures away to go around or get over and under no matter what. His favorite is stacking the pillows and using them for a stepping stool . (keep in mind he just turned 1) My favorite is watching him watch the older kids do something like open a door, a cubbard, or close and shut the blinds. He watches and then does. (he scares me :) ) Anyway, I was thinking how this applies to all of us.
Think about how many obstacles come our way to prevent us from accomplishing our goals. Unfortunately, most of the time excuses and fear are our reason for not overcoming them. Maybe the goal is too hard, maybe someone or something is in our way. Is our goal unrealistic? Maybe we only look for the negative (that's easy to do) Are we watching what others are doing and following their lead in order to help us accomplish our desires?
Let me get back to Jack. I believe that he hasn't yet been programmed to see obstacles as a problem so he continues to find ways to get what he wants. Sure, he gets frustrated at times but he doesn't give up. The best part is that after he has tried every way possible he screams until someone helps him. WOW! Some may see asking for help as giving up....hmmmm I don't see asking for help as giving up. Asking for help is a way of finding and learning how to get through our obstacles. I'm afraid that their are too many of us that aren't asking for help because we don't want to look weak, or we're afraid, or we don't know who to ask.
Believe me when I say that the greatest leaders in this industry aren't doing it alone. They aren't afraid to call their upline and share their struggles and frustrations and to ask for help. They learn from bouncing experiences and ideas off of each other. This business in my opinion is a continual roller coaster that you need to share the ride with. Find someone in your upline that you respect, that you feel comfortable talking to, that is sincere in wanting to help you and plug into them, let them become your mentor. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Your success is their success. Do it now, it's time!
